What kind of warranty do you offer on your products?
All our products are sold under the manufacturers 1-year warranty.
Can I do the installation for the various products myself? Will this affect my warranty?
All our products come with a comprehensive installation manual and can be installed by the customer. This will not affect the warranty.
Why would I want to upgrade my ignition system (coils, spark plugs, etc.) in my vehicle?
a. Quality ignition upgrades can save fuel, increase performance (Torque and HP) and lower emissions.
b. The throttle response can be significantly better with ignition upgrades
c. Misfires can be reduced under high load engines.
d. The spark stability under high-pressure engines can be increased significantly.
What kind of spark plugs do you recommend to use with your products?
We recommend either Denso iridium or NGK iridium spark plugs. These plugs have proven to be of high quality and perform extremely well with our products.

Plasma Direct

How does the Plasma Direct work? (technical explanation)
a. The primary peak to peak current is doubled in size right before the moment of spark.
b. This also increases the secondary discharge or spark current by about 100%.
c. This much-increased current creates a hotter spark and causes more stable and faster combustion.
d. The discharge current changes from a normally DC discharge into a high-speed AC discharge, essentially ultra fast multi-spark discharge up to the highest RPM of the coil.
Why are more powerful spark / voltage / current useful, and would these not damage my vehicle over time?
a. The hotter spark causes an initial ignition process that is faster in propagation and finishes the combustion a little earlier. This causes the efficiency of the combustion to increase and means better fuel usage, more HP and Torque, and lower emissions.
b. A higher efficiency spark will cause cleaner combustion and the engine will last longer. The higher spark temperature is only transferred to the air/fuel molecules and has no bad influence on the engine wear.
What are the benefits of a multi-spark-discharge?
The ultra-fast multi-spark discharge of the Plasma Direct ignition will work up to the fullest engine RPM. In case the first spark does not ignite the mixture correctly, the second or third spark will be able to ignite the mixture. In other words, a multi-spark discharge increases the probability of a successful ignition process.
How much gain in horsepower, torque, fuel consumption and throttle spool up can I expect?
a. This is largely depending on the type of engine used and other modifications that have been performed on the engine.
b. We have seen more than 10 HP of power gain on some engines across the entire RPM range of the engine, not counting any gains that can be made with remapping and ability for higher boost pressure.
What dwell time should I use? What is the maximum dwell time which you recommend?
a. Usually, we recommend the same dwell setting as the original coils will be set to. However, depending on the coil and overall system integration, it might be beneficial to increase the dwell under certain load conditions.
b. You should ask us for each application if we recommend a different dwell setting.
What gap and heat range should I use for my spark plugs? (technical explanation)
a. The spark plug heat range should not change because of the ignition system as the heat range is more determined by the overall heat of the engine and not the heat of the spark.
b. The spark plug gap should also not be changed because of the Plasma Direct ignition system.
c. The Plasma Direct ignition produces a hotter more powerful spark through the increase of the spark current. The spark current increase will be independent of the spark gap.
How long will my coils last compared to stock coils? How will using the Plasma Direct coils impact my engine lifespan?
a. The smoother and more controlled discharge of the spark energy with the Plasma Direct Coils is one factor that will have less stress on the ignition coil and therefore under normal circumstances will increase the life span of the ignition coil.
b. Since the Plasma Direct coils will increase the combustion efficiency, the lifespan of the engine will increase under normal circumstances.
Can my engine performance be affected by being chip tuned when using the Plasma Direct coils?
Depending on engine type and setting, it can be beneficial to retard the spark under full load conditions by about 1 to 2 degrees. Because the hotter spark can cause faster combustion, peak pressure can be reached 1 to 2 degrees earlier and therefore a retarded spark of the same amount can be beneficial.
Do the Plasma Direct and other Plasma products help to produce cleaner exhaust on my vehicle? How does this work?
Yes, because of a faster combustion process, the flame front is faster and the complete combustion happens in a little faster time frame. This translates directly into a more efficient engine and this means less fuel consumption and cleaner emissions.
Do the Plasma Direct coils affect the electronic control unit / OBD II or other engine regulators? Are there any conflicts?
a. There are no conflicts between the Plasma Direct ignition coils and the OBD-II system of the engine control unit (ECU)

Plasma Lift

How does the Plasma Lift work? (technical explanation)
The Plasma Lift stabilizes the voltage supply to the ignition coils and also can increase the voltage at the ignition coils from 12V to 18V (Adjustable)
What are the benefits of the Plasma Lift and when should I use it?
a. The Plasma Lift works as a buffer in front of each coil and makes sure that the voltage at the coil is ultra-stable, even if the battery voltage is fluctuating.
b. The output voltage of the Plasma Lift can be set from about 12V to about 18 V to adapt the supply voltage of the coils to a more needed higher voltage for performance applications. A higher voltage causes the coil to charge faster to its highest energy level and this increases spark voltage and spark energy at moments of need.
c. Higher boost turbocharged engines sometimes wipe out a spark before it forms correctly. A slightly higher primary supply voltage can overcome this problem easily.
What voltage setting should I use on my car?
a. The setting 1 through 4 is for street driving.
b. The setting 4 through 7 is for racing.
c. The setting 7 through 11 is limited only for high speed, high RPM racing only.
Why should I use the Plasma Lift instead of changing my dwell time?
The Plasma Lift applies a higher voltage to the coil, resulting in a faster and steeper rise time of the primary current. This means the same primary current is reached earlier and the heating loss of the coil is less. In other words, the ignition coil stays colder at the same primary current and this is a huge benefit to increase the coils electrical efficiency.

Plasma Spark

How does the Plasma Spark work? (technical explanation)
The Plasma Spark dramatically increases the spark current in the first initial breakdown phase of the spark. The initial flame front propagation is much faster than with any other ignition system.
What are the benefits of the Plasma Spark and when should I use it?
a. The Plasma Spark creates the fastest spark possible in the nanosecond range in the first billionth of a second.
b. High-performance engines that require the extra need for an initial high current discharge because of, for instance, air-fuel ratio fluctuations can highly benefit from this concept.
c. If the AF ratio is far too lean or far too rich, only a Plasma Spark generated by this system is hot and powerful enough to still ignite the mixture causing stable combustion without hick-ups.
Why is the Plasma Spark only available for BMW and Subaru engines?
The Plasma Spark does not work on any engine. Subaru and BMW ignition systems are very special to adapt the Plasma Spark in their circuit and make it possible for the integration, without any disturbance of the OBD-II fault system testing.

Plasma Quad Pac

How does the Plasma Quad Pac work? (technical explanation)
The Plasma Quad Pac adds a full capability to discharge each coil individually.
What are the benefits of using the Plasma Quad Pac?
a. Evenly distributed coil discharge to each cylinder.
b. Plasma Direct Discharge technology applied to each coil separately.
c. Each coil can be individually charged by a correct Dwell setting.
Why would I use the Plasma Quad Pac instead of the Plasma Direct coils for my car?
Some cars have a so-called waste spark ignition and share one ignition coil for two cylinders. The Plasma Quad Pac will exchange this into individual coils.
Will the Plasma Quad Pac work with my aftermarket ECU?
We have 2 versions of the Plasma Quad Pac available.
a. 1 version for standard ECU
b. 1 version for aftermarket ECU
What is the difference between the normal and aftermarket version?
a. The normal version is for ECUs that normally control a waste spark dual output ignition coil and has therefore only two outputs.
b. The Plasma Quad Pac will make out of these two outputs a total of 4 outputs to control 4 individual coils.
c. The aftermarket ECU can already control 4 coils individually. In this case, the Plasma Quad Pac acts as a very capable amplifier with Plasma Discharge technology for all for coils hooked up.
Is the Plasma Quad Pac compatible with your other products?
You can use the Plasma Quad Pac in combination with the Plasma Lift for enhanced performance.

Plasma V Plus

How does the Plasma V Plus work? (technical explanation)
The Plasma V-Plus stabilizes the voltage supply to the ignition coils for small engines. It can increase the voltage at the ignition coils from 12V to 15V or 16V (2 switch settings)
What are the benefits of using the Plasma V Plus?
a. The Plasma V-Plus works as a buffer in front of each coil and makes sure that the voltage at the coil is ultra-stable, even if the battery voltage is fluctuating.
b. The output voltage of the Plasma V plus can be set to two settings by a switch to 15 V or 16V
c. Higher boost engines sometimes wipe out a spark before it forms correctly. A slightly higher primary supply voltage can overcome this problem easily.
What applications is the Plasma V Plus compatible with?
Plasma V Plus is compatible with transistor ignition type engines with up to 4 ignition coils except for the following:
a. Automobiles
b. Vehicle batteries other than 12 Volts
c. Non-genuine ignition coils
d. CDI ignition type engines
e. Igniter built-in engines (e.g. HONDA Gold Wing)
f. Transistor ignition type engines with more than 5 coils
g. Twin Spark engines (In order to install Plasma V Plus, 2 sets of them are required.)
Which voltage setting (M1 or M2) should I use?
Depending on the application. For higher RPM usage, the M2 settings will be used to gain a faster rise time of the coils and have full energy supply even at very high rpm.
